The 4th Hockey India Senior Women Inter Department National Championship 2024 was inaugurated today by Mr Pankaj Jain, Secretary, MoP&NG, alongside Mr V Satish Kumar, Chairman IOCL, Dr Dilip Tirkey, Padmashree & President, Hockey India, and hockey legends at the iconic Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium, Delhi. #IndianOil is proud to sponsor this celebration of talent and passion, further strengthening its commitment to women's sports. Mr Jain lauded the 12 participating teams for their passion and commitment, celebrating the rise of Indian hockey on the world stage. He praised Indian Oil Corp Limited for being a driving force behind women’s hockey. He also reminded the players, that are role models for young girls across India. During the inauguration, Mr Jain presented hockey sticks to 30 young girls from One Thousand Hockey Legs (OTHL), a flagship program of the Hockey Citizen Group. The event was also graced by hockey legends like Harbinder Singh, Ajit Pal Singh, Zafar Iqbal and others.
