"Today, we celebrate the first anniversary of IndianOil's pioneering innovation AVGAS 100 LL - a niche aviation fuel. We developed this indigenous fuel as a statement of India's self-reliance, echoing our #NationFirst commitment. Avgas fuels the small piston engine powered aircraft used by pilot training schools and defense forces. It has been a trailblazing journey dotted with pivotal milestones. Apart from fulfilling the entire domestic demand, we exported the first shipment of Avgas to Papua New Guinea, within a short span of 4 months. This marked India's transition from a net importer of the fuel to an exporter. Incidentally, as we celebrate this milestone, another consignment is being exported to Sri Lanka, expanding our global footprint. The homegrown fuel is produced at our Gujarat Refinery and the pioneering production facility that was set up in a short span of time has drawn appreciation from global stakeholders. We will soon be strengthening our presence in other Asian countries, including Malaysia. A remarkable 71% of the team running the plant are women, and the plant is sustainably powered by a 200 kW Solar Power Plant. Even in extreme conditions from -30°C to +25°C, this dedicated team supplies 1,000+ Indane LPG cylinders daily, ensuring every kitchen in Ladakh and our valiant Army at Siachen are well served.
