Today, the state is poised to unravel new growth opportunities, and at #IndianOil, we are proud to fuel this revitalised journey of progress with our 6 MMTPA Refinery in Barauni and our extensive fuel marketing network and Pipelines. The historic IndianOil Barauni Refinery stands tall as a symbol of India's 'Urja Aatmanirbharta', and it is all set to be expanded to 9 MMTPA to cater to the rising energy demand in the region. Meeting the team of dedicated refiners driving this project was quite fruitful. While interacting, I reminded them of their vital role as India's energy soldiers. While visiting the Refinery, I also had the privilege of commissioning India's first and the world's 3rd '#Green', eco-friendly Cooling Tower. Innovations like these testify IndianOil's commitment to enhancing the green quotient of our operations by leveraging our technical expertise. After Barauni, my next destination was Champaran, that rose to prominence when Mahatma Gandhi embraced it as his 'Karmabhoomi'. Saluting Bapu's legacy and vision for a cleaner, prosperous India, IndianOil hosted a special #Swachhta Cycle Rally that culminated at Gandhi Museum. It was a delight to paddle along the young Swachhta warriors in the rally. Champaran's Motihari is also home to IndianOil's upcoming state-of-the-art automated terminal and a modern LPG Bottling Plant. Hon'ble Prime Minister had laid the foundations stone of these installations on 10th April, 2018. They are now ready to start operations and will be vital in powering the aspirational growth of Bihar. I was impressed by the passionate team of IOCians in Motihari who are steering this project to fruition. As I interacted with the dynamic teams in the state, I shared a simple thought with them, that we must strongly believe in the power of transformation for bringing in enduring changes.
