It was such a joy to witness the special Light & Sound Show powered by #IndianOil and Department of Tourism-Govt of Maharashtra, at the iconic Gateway of India that celebrated the pride of Maharashtra & India, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and the unwavering strength, unbreakable spirit, & extraordinary achievements of Indian women who continue to inspire us with their resilience and determination. Thank You, Chief Minister, Maharashtra, Shri Eknath Shinde ji, Union Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas and Housing and Urban Development, Shri Hardeep Singh Puri ji, Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Shri Devendra Fadnavis ji, and other luminaries for gracing the event and making it so remarkable.
The Gateway of India, is a symbol of India and Mumbai's indomitable spirit, and it turned out to be the perfect canvas to showcase the power of women and the valour of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Every beam of light and every sound that echoed through the night paid tribute to our women and the heroes who made this country great.
Since time immemorial, India has witnessed great women whose glory, wisdom and eminence have been exemplary. Meera Bai, Jhansi ki Rani, Sarojini Naidu, Jijamata Bhonsale, Savitribai Phule, Ahilyabai Holkar and many other extraordinary women who have risen from the soil of Maharashtra have left an indelible mark on the golden pages of the history of our great nation. Today's light and sound show was our salute to them.
The presence of women from all walks of life; young school girls, NCC cadets, achievers & prominent citizens and of course women from the IndianOil family including our dynamic women groundforce, made it all the more special."
