The Gateway of India, is a symbol of India and Mumbai's indomitable spirit, and it turned out to be the perfect canvas to showcase the power of women and the valour of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Every beam of light and every sound that echoed through the night paid tribute to our women and the heroes who made this country great. Since time immemorial, India has witnessed great women whose glory, wisdom and eminence have been exemplary. Meera Bai, Jhansi ki Rani, Sarojini Naidu, Jijamata Bhonsale, Savitribai Phule, Ahilyabai Holkar and many other extraordinary women who have risen from the soil of Maharashtra have left an indelible mark on the golden pages of the history of our great nation.
